She holds a PhD in Musicology from the University of Valladolid, specialising in Renaissance music, and also has a degree in piano from the Professional Conservatory of Music in the same city. A vocal technique teacher and choir director, she furthered her training nationally and internationally in Sydney, Prague, Berlin and Trivandrum (India) with teachers such as Miroslav Kosler; in Berlin with Michael Witt; and in Spain with Johann Djuick, Alberto Blancafort, Harry Christophers and Javier Busto. She has studied advanced singing with teachers such as Carlos Mena. As a singer, she has been a soprano in the choir of St. Hedwig’s Cathedral in Berlin, the Prague Mixed Choir, the Sydney Catholic Cathedral Choir and the choir of the Higher Conservatory in the same city. She has coordinated and organised the performance courses of the Abvlensis International Music Festival, as part of the team at the Tomás Luis de Victoria Study Centre. She has conducted various groups in the Community, giving numerous seminars and courses as a conducting and choir teacher throughout Spain. She is currently a lecturer on the Musicology Degree course at the University of Valladolid, conducts several choral groups and coordinates and directs the Cantania project for primary school children.
