Pablo Ballesteros is Bachelor of Music Language, Music Theory and Accompaniment; Composition, Orchestration, Harmony, Counterpoint and Fugue; Piano and he holds a PhD in Musicology, with International distinction, with the thesis: Misas policorales de Alfonso Vaz de Acosta y Carlos Patiño: contexto, estudio e interpretación. University of Valladolid, 2019. He has made two research stays at the Centre d’Études Supérieures de la Renaissance, in Tours, invited by Dr. Xavier Bisaro. He works as a teacher trainer, especially in the areas of musical edition and the pedagogic use of ICT. His research interests are focussed on the 16th and 17th centuries polychoral music, the musical digital edition and the music and ICT. He’s the author of two books about Spanish oral traditional music and he has collaborated with the Castilla y León symphonic orchestra, writing sometimes its program notes.
