Pablo Ballesteros is Bachelor of Music Language, Music Theory and Accompaniment; Composition, Orchestration, Harmony, Counterpoint and Fugue; Piano and he holds a PhD in Musicology, with International distinction, with the thesis: Misas policorales de Alfonso Vaz de Acosta y Carlos Patiño: contexto, estudio e interpretación. University of Valladolid, 2019. He has made two research stays at the Centre d’Études Supérieures de la Renaissance, in Tours, invited by Dr. Xavier Bisaro. He works as a teacher trainer, especially in the areas of musical edition and the pedagogic use of ICT. His research interests are focussed on the 16^th and 17^th centuries polychoral music, the musical digital edition and the music and ICT. He’s the author of two books about Spanish oral traditional music and he has collaborated with the Castilla y León symphonic orchestra, writing sometimes its program notes.
