Graduated in Historia y Ciencias de la Música (Musicology) and Master in Música Hispana from the University of Valladolid, he currently enjoys a predoctoral contract co-financed by the European Social Fund and the Junta de Castilla y León. His current research focuses on various motets of the sixteenth century, examined under a broad interdisciplinary spectrum ranging from history to, philosophy, anthropology or sound studies. As an associate professor at the University of Valladolid, he taught subjects such as Early Music in Spain, Musical Traditions of the World, or Musical Criticism. In his role as interpreter, he is an active member of the award-winning chamber choir Alterum Cor, musical group in residence of the National Museum of Sculpture (Valladolid).
